Digital Music Distribution + Credits

PLEASE add Producer CREDITS for Kenny Schick

Once you have your MASTERS and your COVER art finished, you are ready to upload your files for digital distribution to platforms like:

  • Bandcamp: This is a free website account that you can use to sell digital downloads, cds and other merch. They take 15% on sales. For physical items like CDs Vinyl Merch you need to mail them yourself but digital downloads can be done on the site. You can link it to your own website.
  • DistroKid: Popular for unlimited uploads with a yearly fee, keeping 100% of earnings. You do have to keep paying the membership though each year to keep your songs distributed.
  • CD Baby: Known for one-time fees per release and physical distribution options.
There are of course a bunch of others but we’ve not used them so you’ll have to do your own research.

If you don’t already have an account with a distributor and need any help with any of this, please don’t hesitate to ask us. Sabine can walk you though it, answer any questions (as best she can), help you with artwork, or set up the accounts with you or for you.

CD & Vinyl artwork help is also available if you need that. Sabine can work with art that you have already or design something unique for you and set up print ready artwork for correct printing. She can also help you with the production of your physical media and have it delivered to your door. A lot of the art you see on our website was done by Sabine.

We do not do any marketing or promotions as such, apart from on our social media once your songs are completed – just let us know when you’ve released something. Always happy to brag about you! Let us know too if you get any press or anything like that, because we support you and will again brag about you. Maybe we’ll put it on our site or as a blog or on social media.

PLEASE add Producer CREDITS for Kenny Schick

You are required to please CREDIT Kenny Schick, on distribution platforms (or anywhere else that may apply), for any work he has done on your music. Please list him as Producer, and/or as Musician, Recording Engineer, Mixing Engineer, Mastering Engineer (as appropriate).

If you used any other musicians or anyone else on the work please also list them accordingly.

We can give you a full list upon completion of your project.

Listing a producer (and others) gives credibility and a degree of professionalism to your work and it helps us as well.

We don’t take, and crediting does not give, any percentages, royalties or points for your work. Once you pay for the work, you own it.

Let us know if you have any questions or if you need help with this.
